This is looking from the deck back through the breezeway, onto the driveway, and out to the ridge line to the West...The 6"x6" post is not staying...decided we didn't want any railing...just continuous porch/deck all the way around...the little triangle area will be landscaped for butterfliles and hummingbirds...and of couirse, deer. They are everywhere, and eat most anything and everything you plant...maybe they will soon figure out it is much easier to graze the neighbors yards for plant and grass than to climb such a steep hill and drive to get to ours...we'll see!!

This was taken from the back deck right outside the back door from the mudroom...this will be really cool when they build on the lot across the street...the loss of trees (though mourned) will allow a view year-round we think of the Pine Mountain ridge line to the NE...and hopefully a better chance of a distant, limited view of the lake...we'll see.
Completed on Friday evening! The railing is beautifully crafted of 2"x6" tops for the perfect resting place for your cold beer...or coke, or drink of choice...of course, I myself don't indulge in Demon Rum...well, maybe a cold beer now and then. In any event, the strps are all that's left (and the clean-up, of course). It looks like an outside dance floor actually...it is almost 600 sq feet...admission for friends, though, on dance nights is discounted of course. As you can see, BD is already watching the traffic in and out of the Community...this picture was taken from the breezeway between the front porch and the garage.
